Forest Bathing Experience
Step away from the rush of everyday life and into the quiet magic of nature.
As the season shifts toward autumn, a community of certified nature guides across New Mexico is inviting people into forests, mesas, trails, and other wild places for a shared day of presence, connection, and relationship with the living Earth. Come join us in celebrating Forest Therapy Day NM at Carlito Springs!
What to Bring
Please wear or bring comfortable layers of clothing—whatever New Mexico’s weather brings, we’ll be ready to meet it with ease. You may also want to bring water and wear or bring sunscreen and insect repellent.
What to Expect during Forest Bathing
A forest bathing walk is not a hike. It’s a slow, gentle experience that invites you to be fully present in nature.
Through simple guided exercises, you'll slow down, awaken your senses, and connect with the natural world in a grounding, restorative way.

Where to Meet
Meet at the Main House/Outdoor Classroom. There are two lower parking lots that require a walk up to the Main House. Please allow 15-20 minutes to walk from the parking. There is a trailhead right by the lower lot. While forest bathing is gentle and slow, it's about a half-mile uphill hike to the Main House. Our walk together will be meandering down the trail, leading you back to the parking area.
Registration
Registration available on the Forest Bathing NM MeetUp group.
I’d Love to Walk with You
